Ships Ahoy
Its that time a year again when we take the waters of Long Island! This is my first weekend out East since last year and I'm psyched! I am all packed and ready to sail and have some Hamptons fun.
Since I have also become a chef in the last year ( haha) I have decided to test out a new recipe for Ribs, "how unusual Jackie, you don't even eat ribs"...well I think im going to try these! The recipe comes from Saveur which I have been borrowing from my parents office...hmm delicious! Recipe and past summers on boat below!
Soy Sauce–Marinated Ribs
Hawaiian-Style Kalbi
SERVES 4 – 6
These pork ribs are a sweeter version of a Korean preparation for marinated and grilled short ribs.
1 1⁄4 cups light brown sugar1 cup soy sauce1 tbsp. Asian sesame oil1⁄4 tsp. crushed red chile flakes4 cloves garlic, finely chopped1 2" piece peeled fresh ginger, finely chopped3 lbs. pork baby back ribs3 scallions, thinly sliced
