HITCHED

I promise this will not become a wedding blog…but it’s hard to ignore the fact that Chris and I are getting Hitched. Yes, I’m getting Married, WE are getting Married I guess is what you would say.

I have been excited since August (when we got engaged) but now that I have actually started planning I feel like it’s real. The part that makes this wedding so much fun is that I am lucky enough to work with wedding expert David Tutera, a lovely surprise from my dad and a huge relief to me and my MOH ( Joseph Richard).

So I guess my excitement stems from having our first planning meeting to discuss Décor, look and feel. Don’t kid yourself, we have met many times to find the perfect venue, but that was not fun- this meeting was a blast. He walked us through Decor and flow of the day and all of the things we need to think about…who knew! Needless to say we are at the very beginning stages of what will be 9 months of planning and a lot of fun!

So, next on the list? Stationary and Save the Dates. We are heading to Ceci who does such great stuff. If you have never heard of her, check her site out below, for any stationary need. http://www.cecinewyork.com/

All pics of wedding will have to wait til after October 2nd – until then I give you this one photo i LOVE by Christian Oth here in the city.

2010 -It's gonna be a good one!

Well with 2010 around the corner, literally, I have made it my resolution to get back to doing the things I love, one of which is this blog. I'm not even sure any of you are still reading but if you are or were, I'm sorry for my unannounced hiatus.

Some big things happened in my second half of 2009. I started a new job that I LOVE at a start up-which is taking off. I got engaged- yippie! We completed our apartment- pics to come. And of course, met some really amazing people.

So needless to say, we are going into the New Year with open hearts and minds that 2010 will be a great year! With with that being said, a very Happy New Year to you all!

XO
Jack

State of Mind

So its Raining...non stop.

How many times have I heard you say, "but im never home", well now is the time to be home, in your space, relaxing, having people over and just giving this weather the middle finger!

Here are some things I am going to do this weekend:

Have a movie marathon
Clean out my closet (s)
Put in a dimmer (yes im handy)
Start a new book
Play with Benny
Dinner with friends
Sleep...but not too much that people start to question
Just be

Don't let this rain change your state of mind, stay home and be productive or get out there- you won't melt!
XO

Date night last night at this old school italian joint Filli Ponte and then an after dinner drink at Locande Verde...Dinero's new place, loved both! It was the perfect balance, Filli Ponte is very quiet and great for playing catching up and Locande Verde loud and bustling. On our way to the restaurant, we saw our fav car!  Some pics from the night and of course, my outfit. XO

Outfit: Elizabeth & James play suit, Zara motorcycle jacket, Sigerson Morrison gladiators and Top Shop earings...
